ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Police are trying to identify a man who allegedly ran down two people with his SUV after an altercation at a Royal Oak bar.
The incident unfolded just before 2 a.m. Saturday, when officers were flagged down about a disorderly group of people in the area of Fifth and Main streets. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered two people had been struck by a vehicle.
Both victims were transported to Beaumont Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver remains at large. He's described as a white male in his 20s, 5'8" tall and 170 pounds with a beard and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a gray jacket. Police say his vehicle has significant front-end damage, a shattered driver's side window, and a broken passenger side rear taillight.
