
(WWJ) Don't be alarmed if you hear possible gunfire or other loud noises near Selfridge Air National Guard Base over the next several days.
Officials with the 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard say military exercises are being conducted this week the base -- located in Harrison Township near Mt. Clemens in Macomb County -- that may include the use of sirens, loudspeakers, and simulated gunfire.
The Michigan Air National Guard conducts training exercises on a regular basis to ensure that local Airmen are able to appropriately respond to a wide range of scenarios.
Official want to alert residents and others in the public who may be near the base that they may be able to hear some of the sounds as a result of the exercises.
