(WWJ) The man seen in a viral video kayaking over Michigan's Tahquamenon Falls is speaking out.
Self-described "extreme kayaker" Marcelo Galizio of Florianopolis, Brazil, tells WWJ's Sandra McNeill he's gone over Tahquamenon 18 times before, and loves the adrenaline rush from the 50 foot drop.
Galizio -- who makes a living through sponsorships -- usually winds up upside down at the base of the falls, but he's prepared with a helmet, padding and a specially equipped watercraft.
"I do not recommend anybody to do it without proper knowledge, gear and a safety crew behind it," Galizio cautioned. "People usually come talk to me before I drop and I try to let them know that I don't recommend anybody doing it, and I've done it before, and if they wanna start kayaking they should start with smaller stuff."
His next challenge: the Montreal River's Superior Falls on the border between Wisconsin and Michigan.
