DETROIT (WWJ) - One person was killed and four others were injured when their vehicles collided along Telegraph Road in northwest Detroit.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 7 Mile and Telegraph roads.
According to police, the driver of a blue Saturn Aura was traveling west on 7 Mile when he disregarded a red traffic light and collided with a black GMC Denali that was traveling south on Telegraph.
The Saturn struck a light pole before coming to a stop and the Denali flipped over.
The driver of the Saturn, a 21-year-old man, and the rear seat passenger, a 37-year-old man, sustained non-life threatening injuries. The front seat passenger, a 21-year-old woman, was killed.
The occupants of the Denali, a 49-year-old man and 40-year-old female, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were also taken to the hospital.
Other circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
