HARPER WOODS, Mich. (WWJ) -- Two young men are awaiting court dates after allegedly robbing a pair of pizza delivery drivers earlier this month.

The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety says around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, a delivery driver was robbed at the Meadows on Balfour Apartments, just west of I-94 and south of Vernier Road. Exactly week later, another driver was robbed on Williamsburg Court near the same area, around 10:30 p.m.

Authorities say both delivery drivers were robbed at the locations they were told to deliver the pizzas to. Both orders had been placed over the phone. Neither driver was injured during the robberies, according to police. In both cases, the suspects got away with pizzas and money. Police did not say which store or stores the delivery drivers worked for.

An investigation by Harper Woods detectives determined that both phone calls were placed with the suspects utilizing an application to conceal the phone number they were calling from.

On Oct. 31, detectives located and arrested Davaughn Maurice Jones, 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with the robberies. The 16-year-old male's name was not released.

Authorities say Jones, a resident of Harper Woods, was formally charged with one count of unarmed robbery and given a $2,500 10% cash bond. Jones was ordered to wear a GPS tether with house arrest. His next court date is scheduled for Nov. 20. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

The juvenile, meanwhile, will be charged through the Wayne County 3rd Circuit Juvenile Court.
