(WWJ) A Canadian man was busted with a massive amount of meth in a truck at the Ambassador Bridge.
It happened last month, according to officials with the Canada Border Services Agency and Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Jaspreet Singh, 29, drove a commercial truck across the bridge from Detroit into Windsor, Canada, where he was pulled over a secondary inspection.
Officials say that's when they discovered a duffel bag stuffed full of 21 kilograms, or more than 46 lbs., packaged suspected methamphetamine.
The CBSA arrested the driver and seized the suspected narcotics, estimated to be worth about $2.7 million Canadian, or around $2,035,000 in American dollars.
Singh, who's from Brampton, Ontario, is charged with: Importation of Scheduled I substance, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
His next scheduled court date is on Oct. 8, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.
