DETROIT (WWJ) - A little girl who was rescued from a burning house by Detroit firefighters has died.
Detroit Fire Department officials say the 3-year old girl, who went into cardiac arrest after being pulled from the west side home Thursday, passed away Friday afternoon.
Four other children ranging in age from 5 to 10 years old were also taken to the hospital and are recovering, according to Deputy Commissioner Dave Fornell. Officials said all of the kid were siblings.
Fornell said investigators found that the fire, on Otsego Street near I-94 and Joy Road, was due to electrical issues. It has been ruled accidental
The child's name was not immediately released.
