UPDATE -- Police say Cecil Cheeks has been found safe.
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are asking for the public's help locating a 91-year-old man who went missing on Christmas Day.
Police say Cecil Cheeks was last heard from around 11 a.m. Wednesday before he left his home in the 8600 block of Schaefer, near Joy Road, to go visit his brother in the 2100 block of Sheldon Road.
His daughter told police that Cheeks left home driving his silver, four-door 2012 Buick Verano with license plate number CCQ9312 -- but he never returned.
Cheeks is described as a black male with a medium brown complexion, 5'5" tall and 140. lbs. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, and is said to be in good physical and mental condition. No further description was provided.
