DETROIT (WWJ) - A 19-year-old man who allegedly disguised himself in a clown mask before he intentionally gunned down another man at a gas station on Halloween night could end up spending the rest of his life behind bars.
Dravon Jones was arraigned Monday on charges including first-degree murder, felony firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. Bond was denied.
Police say Jones was wearing a clown mask on Thursday, Oct. 31 when he shot another man in the back of the head at a Citgo gas station on Grand River Ave., on the city's west side.
The victim, a 31-year-old man, died at the scene.
A motive for the shooting has not been released.
Jones is due back in court for a probable cause conference on Nov. 18, followed by a preliminary exam on Nov. 25.
A $2,500 cash reward was offered in the case, though it's unclear if tips led to Jones' arrest.
