DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have identified a driver wanted for doing donuts on I-94 earlier this week.

Police say 22-year-old Devin Cronk, of Allen Park, was driving a red-orange Chevy Camaro that was recorded on a video which was then posted to social media.

The incident, referred to as "360 activity" by police, took place last Sunday night on westbound I-94 at Trumbull, when a roving band of drivers blocked traffic so they could spin out dangerously and cheer each other on.

While some drivers covered their license plates with signs using an expletive to refer to the DPD, police say Cronk's license plate -- EBZ 5973 -- was captured on video, which led to his identification.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating Cronk, and are encouraging him to turn himself in. He's facing charges of reckless driving.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department’s Commercial Auto Thief Unit at 313-596-2555. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
