DETROIT (WWJ) - Two bail bondsmen were taken into police custody after they allegedly shot and wounded a man on Detroit's west side.
The incident unfolded around 12:15 p.m. Friday in the 18200 block of Schoolcraft, just west of the Southfield Freeway.
According to police, a 29-year-old man was inside of his vehicle in the parking lot of a local business when two bail bondsmen allegedly pulled behind him in their vehicle. At some point, the suspects exit their vehicle and one of them allegedly fired shots into the victim's vehicle, striking him.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and last listed in serious condition.
Both suspects, a 41-year-old Roseville man and 32-year-old St. Clair Shores man were taken into custody and transported to the Detroit Detention Center for processing. A weapon was also recovered.
The incident remains under investigation.
