Body Found Inside Burning Vehicle In Northwest Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - An investigation is underway after a body was found in a burning car on Detroit's northwest side.

The Pontiac Grand Prix was reported on fire around 10:15 p.m. Thursday in the area of Thatcher and Forrer streets, near Greenfield Road and Outer Drive.


When firefighters extinguished the flames, they found a body in the back seat of the car. 

Investigators say the victim was burned beyond recognition. No information on the victim's identity is available at this time.
