DETROIT (WWJ) - A young man has been arrested after police say he held a woman and children in a Detroit home at gunpoint.
Detroit police said they were called to the scene about a domestic dispute a little after 1 p.m. Monday.
Police said a man in his mid-20s was holding his girlfriend and four kids inside the house on Dwyer Street, in the area of Mound Rd. and Outer Dr.
He eventually released the kids, but stayed inside with his girlfriend. Three shots were heard, but no injuries were reported, police said.
The man surrendered after a standoff with police, and was in custody before 3 p.m. His name has not been released with expected charged pending.
