DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit police officer is recovering after she accidentally shot herself.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. Friday at the Detroit Public Safety Headquarters on 3rd Avenue, just south of Michigan Avenue.
A police spokesperson tells WWJ that the female officer is currently in temporary serious condition and the shooting appears to be accidental.
Police also say the investigation into how this incident took place is ongoing.
