DETROIT (WWJ) - A woman is fighting for her life after she was allegedly stabbed by a 17-year-old on Detroit's west side.
The incident happened just before 4 a.m. Friday at a home in the 12000 block of Birwood, near Grand River Avenue and Meyers Road.
Police say the teenager stabbed the 25-year-old victim, though an exact motive for the attack is unknown at this time.
The woman was taken to the hospital and last reported in critical condition.
The teenager was taken into custody and lodged at the Detroit Detention Center.
The incident remains under investigation.
