(WWJ) A Pontiac man has been bound over for trial for the grisly killing of a professional poker player.

Jeffery Morris, 60,  is charged with the first-degree murder of Susie Zhao, 33, in July. Prosecutors say her burned body was found at the Pontiac Lake Recreation Area on Gale near Teggerdline.

The investigation revealed Zhao was tied up with zip-ties and sexually assaulted, according to prosecutors.

Monday's testimony centered around the revelation that Morris' cellphone tracked to the area near where Zhao's body was found.

Fox 2 reported testimony also revealed Zhao was alive when she was set on fire; medical experts came to this conclusion after finding soot in her airways.

Prosecutors say Morris has a long criminal history, including a 1989 rape conviction in Pontiac.

A motive remains unclear, but prosecutors tell WWJ there is no evidence that it was tied to her career as a professional poker player.
