DETROIT (WWJ) - A man was found dead after gunshots rang out in a neighborhood on Detroit's west side overnight.
Police received a 911 call around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday about a shooting in the area of West Outer Drive and Wyoming, with the caller saying more than 20 shots were fired.
Officers arrived at the 19200 block of Birwood and found several parked cars riddled with bullet holes. An unidentified man was also found dead at the scene.
Other circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown at this time. Investigators also have no information on the suspect.
Police are still trying to identify the victim, described only as a black male wearing orange gym shoes.
