SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A man is jailed on weapons charges after a one-car crash along I-696 in Southfield.
The crash happened early Friday morning near Greenfield Road.
While inspecting the vehicle, troopers noticed a pistol in the back seat area. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, troopers recovered two pistols: a Glock 26 9mm with two magazines and numerous rounds of ammunition, and a Colt black powder revolver.
Police say the 37-year-old Jackson man did not have a CPL and was arrested at the scene for carrying a concealed weapon.
Charges are now pending.
