(WWJ) Sterling Heights police are searching for a 70-year-old man who disappeared after a medical appointment in Detroit.
John Williams was reported missing by his wife on Friday.
Beverly Williams told police her husband left home at around 10 a.m. Thursday, headed to his appointment at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center on John R, in the area of W. Warren Ave. and I-75 in Detroit.
According to investigators, he made it to his appointment, checking in at the hospital at 1 p.m., and checking out at 1:41 p.m. — but he hasn't been seen or heard from since.
John Williams is described as a black man, 5'8'' tall and 174 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black winter hat, black coat, blue sweater, blue pants and blue dress shoes.
He left his home driving a green over silver 2002 Dodge Ram conversion van with the Michigan handicap plate 3357G0. Police provided a photo of a similar van, but noted that the missing man's van has a dent on the driver side front bumper. and the double doors on the passenger side are also dented.
