(WWJ) A 24-year-old Rochester Hills man has been arraigned on felony charges after it's alleged he followed another resident into his home and attacked him.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says it happened Sunday night, on Gerald Ave., just west of Dequindre Rd. in Rochester Hills.
The victim, 30-year-old Rochester Hills man, said he'd just returned home after picking up a pizza when he encountered the suspect outside his house, shortly after 8 p.m.
The resident said the suspect was harassing him about blue lights he'd hung on his house in support of police, telling investigators the suspect yelled, "the cops know where the white bitches are at."
When the resident unlocked his front door and went inside, he said the suspect followed him in and punched him in the back of the head.
It's alleged the suspect broke the window on the door before fleeing on foot.
The victim called 911, and an OCSO deputy was able to track down the suspect who tried to run away, according to the sheriff's office.
The deputy deployed his Taser successfully and arrested the suspect without further incident.
The suspect, since identified as Justin Michael Brown, was was arraigned in in 52-3 District Court Tuesday on charges of first degree home invasion, and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
Bond was set at $75,000 cash/surety, no 10%.
The sheriff's office says Brown has a criminal history including convictions in Florida for robbery, aggravated assault with a weapon and various drug offenses.
Brown remains lodged in the Oakland County Jail awaiting his next court apperance, set for Oct. 8.
