DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for a missing 15-year-old girl who family members fear is suicidal.
Police say Mykah Sams was last seen around 5 p.m. Tuesday getting off a bus at Hubbell Avenue and W. McNichols Road, on the city's west side, and walking west through an alley.
Family members are especially concerned because Sams failed to come home. They also believe she is suicidal and may try to harm herself.
Sams is described as 5'4" tall and 115 lbs. with a medium brown complexion and long dreads. She was last seen wearing a knee-length black jacket with fur on the hood, jeans and gray Nike shoes. She's said to be in good physical condition but is cognitively impaired.
Anyone who sees Sams or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department's Second Precinct Investigative Unit at 313-596-5240. Tips can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
