REDFORD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police in Redford Township are searching for the gunman who unleashed more than 20 shots during a drive-by shooting in the middle of the day.
The shooting happened outside of a home in the 11300 block of Winston, near Plymouth and Telegraph roads, around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired and arrived to find more than 20 7.62 mm shell casings in front of the home and in the street.
Several rounds entered and damaged the home. No persons were injured.
Police say a preliminary investigation indicates the suspect was driving a white Chevy Tahoe or Chevy Suburban. No suspect description was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
