(WWJ) Northville Township police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a young man Thursday night.
Investigators want to speak with anyone who saw what happened on Sheldon Rd. between 6 Mile Rd. and Tournament Dr., just after 11:30 p.m.
Police said the victim, identified as a 20-year-old Northville Township man was on foot when he was struck by a vehicle witnesses described as a white or silver sedan.
He died at the scene.
The suspect vehicle had turned from 6 Mile onto Sheldon prior to the crash. The driver did not stop after hitting the man, and was last seen heading south on Sheldon towards 5 Mile Rd.
Evidence at the scene indicates there is damage to the vehicle, police said.
An investigation by the Northville police, with the help of accident investigators from the Michigan State Police, is ongoing.
