(WWJ) Detroit police believe it's a woman they're after for the fatal shooting of a man overnight.
At around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, the victim was found in the 16200 block of Cheyenne, in the area of Puritan and Schaefer Hwy., just west of the Lodge Freeway.
The man was lying on the ground in the backyard a home, police said, suffering from a gunshot wound to his body. EMS arrived and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, police said the man — estimated to be in his 30s — has not yet been identified.
Police are now searching for a possible suspect. described as a Black female, around 5'5'' tall. with a dark brown complexion and long blonde hair. She was driving a red sedan; possibly a Dodge Neon.
Further circumstances are unknown as police continue to investigate.
