VAN BUREN TWP. (WWJ) - A search is underway in southwestern Wayne County for a man who disappeared from a group home.
According to an Endangered Missing Advisory by Michigan State Police, 56-year-old Richard Vaughn Manning walked away from a group home in the area of Belleville and Ecorse roads in Van Buren Township.
Manning's mother in a nursing home in the U.P., police said, and he has no known family or friends it the area.
There is concern for his well being as he suffers from several mental disorders, according to authorities.
Manning is described a white male, 5'10'' tall and around 150 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue Detroit Tigers jacket and gray pants.
