DETROIT (WWJ) - A sewage spill in Detroit left nearby residents sick to their stomachs.
Fire officials say a sewage truck lost its load Wednesday morning and the foul smelling substance spilled all over the intersection of Mack and Rivard just east of I-75 and Midtown.
Residents in the area said the smell was so bad, they felt nauseous.
Fire crews responded to the scene and flushed the substance into the sewer. A HAZMAT team was also monitoring the situation.
No injuries or evacuations were reported.
