(WWJ) A dispute between brothers in Michigan's thumb region turned into a case of animal cruelty.
According to the Huron County Sheriff's Kelly Hanson, deputies arrested 34-year old Eric Learman last Sunday after he stabbed his brother's goat at a farm in the 8800 block of Helena Rd. in Sherman Twp.
The sheriff's office said the stabbing was an act of revenge.
After an earlier argument, investigators say Learman walked off and eventually took a nearly 9" long knife to his brother's goat — stabbing the animal four to six times in the neck.
The goat survived the attack and is recovering.
Learman, who is from Bad Axe, faces one felony count of animal cruelty.
He was arraigned Tuesday and remains jailed without bond.
