The suspect in the cold case killing that rocked the Macomb County community was scheduled to be arraigned t on two counts of murder Thursday afternoon in 41B District Court, according to Clinton Township Police.
Police described a gruesome scene at the Parkway Village Apartments in July of 2013, when Tina Geiger and her 11-year-old daughter Kristina "Krissy" Geiger were discovered with their throats slashed.

The bodies were discovered by an apartment manager who was asked to check on the Giegers, who were both been described by authorities as developmentally disabled.
Neighbors, who said the duo walked to a nearby 7-Eleven every day, said they became concerned after not seeing the pair for several days. There were no signs of forced entry, police said, which led police to believe the victims knew their killer.
A man who was arrested shortly after the murders was charged with lying to police, but the murders had remained unsolved.
The suspect is custody is a 40-year-old man, according to reports, although his name has not yet been released. It's not yet clear if this is the same man who was arrested years ago.
