DETROIT (WWJ) - A $2,500 reward is being offered for the tips that leads to an arrest in the mysterious death of a young man in Detroit.
Drevon Johnson murdered last December 15370 Lesure St. between Fenkell and Keeler on Detroit's west side.
The 20-year-old, also known by the nickname "Fat Daddy," was last seen alive by his family on Dec. 16. When he didn't come home, his mother reached out on Facebook, asking if anyone knew where he was.
Weeks later, after she reached out on social media a second time, the mom was told that shots had been fired at a house on Lesure St. the after Johnson had disappeared.
Family arranged a search party, and on January 17, 2019, Drevon was found on the roof of that home. He's been shot to death.
According to Crime Stoppers, Johnson was good with his hands and liked to work on cars and play basketball. He loved video games and aspired to become a gaming engineer.
Johnson never got to meet his baby daughter Bella, who was born months after his death.
There have been no arrests, no suspects have been described now going on 10 months since his murder.
With few clues in the case, police and loved ones are left to hope that someone in the public will come forward with information.
