(WWJ) The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a fatal shooting on the city's west side. A 45 year old man was fatally shot after a verbal altercation inside a local business. It happened Saturday, March 16, 2019, at about 8:50 p.m. in the area of West McNicholas and Greenfield Rd, when
The victim who was seen exiting the business returned with a gun and pointed it at the suspect. The victim and the suspect then fought over the weapon until the suspect was able to wrestle the gun away from the victim. The victim then falls to the ground and the suspect fires one shot striking the victim. The suspect then fled on foot southbound on Greenfield Rd. The victim was transported by Medics to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.
