(WWJ) -- "Avengers: Endgame," one of the most anticipated movies ever, is finally hitting theaters this weekend and people all over the world cannot wait to see how the 22-film story in the MCU concludes.
Once you get to the theater, you'll probably want to settle in with your favorite movie theater snacks and a big drink.
But actually, maybe not. The movie runs just over three hours long. That's a long time to "hold it" if you gulp down a big, ice-cold pop early in the film.
That's where the folks at RunPee come in to help.
RunPee is a website and app that lets moviegoers know when it's a good time to sneak out to the bathroom without missing any important parts in the movie. They call them "pee times."
The site has been around for more than a decade. The site's founder, Dan Gardner, told CNN he got the idea for the app after watching another 3-hour movie: Peter Jackson's 2005 remake of "King Kong."
Gardner and his team look for the best three-to-four-minute windows in a movie where nothing too important happens, and they post it on their app and website -- without including any spoilers -- so viewers can sneak out and back in in a hurry.
With the release of "Endgame" finally approaching, RunPee has been experiencing some technical difficulties, seeing a major spike in users and page visitors.
A message on the RunPee website says the major traffic has overwhelmed the website's servers, causing it to crash. The website has been taken offline "so that all resources can be applied to maintaning the RunPee app."
Gardner attributed the spike in traffic to a national story run by CNN.
