DETROIT (WWJ) - A cash reward of up to $2,500 is available to the person who can tell police where to find a man linked to a homicide in Detroit.
On Tuesday, April 16, at around 5:45 p.m., police say a man who goes by the nickname "Stacks" robbed and shot 20-year-old Winston Davis Williams, in the area of Asbury Park and Plymouth, east of the Southfield Freeway, on Detroit's west side.
Williams, who found lying in an alley, was taken to a local hospital where he died.
A 15-year-old juvenile suspect, Demar Keyan Pernell, has already been arrested and charged in the case.
Detroit police said it's believed Pernell was trying to rob Williams during a gun sale when they were approached by a second man -- "Stacks" -- who "robbed him and fired his weapon."
The suspect is described as a black male, around 5'8'' to 5'9'' tall with a small build. Investigators believe he is a part of the "Jack Boys" gang; although other details, including his real name, are still unknown at this time.
As an investigation continues, police are asking anyone in the public who can identify this wanted man, and/or knows where to find him to come forward with the information.
According to Crime Stoppers, both photos above are of the suspect.
Anyone with information about this crime should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587). Tips may also be submitted by texting CSM and the tip to CRIMES (2746370).
