(WWJ) The hunt is on for whomever stole a truck full of band equipment from Southgate Anderson High School.
WWJ's Michael Cohen reports the band is the pride of the local community, with 80 members traveling all over the region to play at events like America's Thanksgiving Parade.
They had a new trailer, worth about $6,000, and it was full of equipment and band props worth another $5,000.

"Heartless, honestly heartless. How do you take from kids?" Southgate Anderson Band Booster President Martha Hancock said to clickondetroit.com. "They've been through enough already with the virus, they've had their entire season taken away. Their next season is taken and who knows what the winter is going to bring. I don't know how you can do this to a bunch of kids."
The district added to WDIV-TV if it's not found, it will take the school years to raise enough money to replace the equipment. A Go Fund me was launched to raise money for replacement items, and it's raised almost $1,500 so far.
Band booster members are now offering a $200 reward for the return of the trailer, and a $100 reward for the return of the tarps that were inside.
