DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are trying to locate two teen girls who were reported missing on opposite sides of the city Wednesday.
Thirteen-year-old Taylor Jackson was last seen around 11 a.m. in the area of Woodbine and Santa Maria, near Telegraph and McNichols roads on the northwest side. Her mother said she received a text message from Taylor stating she would be home at 2 p.m. -- but she never showed.
Taylor is described as 5'7" tall and 135 lbs. with hair in two long ponytails. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, light colored blue jean shorts, a silver, pink and yellow jacket, and pink furry slides. She's said to be in good physical and mental condition.
Fourteen-year-old Eliza Baker was last seen around 2:15 p.m. in the area of Baldwin and Lafayette, near Van Dyke and Jefferson avenues not far from the bridge to Belle Isle. Her guardian said Eliza left the location without permission on her bike and never returned. She was last seen heading north on Baldwin Street.
Eliza is described as having a medium brown complexion, medium build and long hair. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black and white skirt, and a blue bag. She's said to be in good physical and mental condition.
