DETROIT (WWJ) -- A young girl has died after she was shot while sleeping in a Detroit home last week.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement Monday that 11-year-old Lamara Glenn passed away Monday morning after being taken off life support late last week. She was shot in the head during a drive-by shooting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, which occurred at a home on Pennsylvania Street near Gratiot and I-94 on the city’s east side.

Four young Detroit men have now been charged in this shooting.

The latest charges filed are against alleged gunman 19-year-old Hershel Marion Jr., who is facing nine counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Discharge in or at a Building Causing Serious Impairment, and 10 counts of Felony Firearm.

The others charged are 18-year-old Tahkari Turner and 19-year-old Nasser Garrett — who also allegedly fired shots — as well as 20-year-old Robert Lee Turner, Jr., who has been charged as an accomplice.

The charged against these defendants are expected to be amended now that the child has died of her injuries.

Authorities say eight other people were in the home at the time of the shooting, and while all of them are considered victims in this case, prosecutors clarified Friday that no others were hit by any bullets.

Tahkari Turner and Nasser Garrett were remanded to jail without bond following their arraignments in 36th District Court on Friday. Marion was arraigned over the weekend and was given a $2 million cash bond. Robert Lee Turner, Jr. received a $250,000 cash bond on the condition he wear a GPS tether if he's released.

The defendants will be back in court for a probable cause conference on March 1.

GoFundMe has been set up by Lamara Glenn's mother, Brandy Crenshaw, to help cover memorial expenses.
