MADISON HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- Charges are pending against two people in connection with the death of a 6-year-old Madison Heights boy.
According to Madison Heights Police, officers were called to a mobile home park on Dequindre Rd., near 10 Mile Rd., Tuesday afternoon on a report about a child who was not breathing.
The boy was found unresponsive with several injuries, police said.
He was taken to Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital and then transferred to Children's Hospital where he died. His name was not released.
Officers arrested two people, although no information about them has been released.
Police did not share any details about what may have led to the child's death, but added in a statement: "This is a tragic incident, and the Madison Heights Police Department will work to bring justice on behalf of this juvenile victim."
