SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) -- Two people have arrested and charged after a string of home break-ins in Macomb County's Shelby Township.
Police said two suspects were arraigned this week for Felony Home Invasion.
The break-ins happened in late August, near Utica and Ryan Roads. Investigators said the door was kicked in at a home on Hill Drive, and this was the third similar incident reported in the area.
After reviewing RING camera footage, police identified a suspicious vehicle and eventually caught three suspects — two adult men and a teenager —allegedly in the act of kicking-in another door.
The two adults, Yousif Polus and Kalvin Rayes from Sterling Heights appeared on Wednesday, and were each given a $50,000 cash/surety/10% bond.
The third suspect, whose name and other details are being withheld due to age, is awaiting proceedings in juvenile court.
Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Shelide said, in a statement:
“Through the relentless efforts of our officers, three criminals were identified, and three serious warrants were authorized by the Macomb County Prosecutor's office, and all suspects were taken into custody.
"This is yet another example of outstanding work from our officers and detectives, which has repeatedly led to dangerous offenders being removed from Shelby Township."
