STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) – A 25-year-old woman was killed overnight in Sterling Heights after the forklift she was driving fell on top of her, according to multiple reports.
The woman, reportedly from New Haven, was driving the forklift at Metalsa, a business on Mitchell Drive in Sterling Heights, around midnight when it somehow turned on its side and fell on her, according to a report from WDIV.

WDIV reported the incident briefly interrupted production at the nearby Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. A statement from Stellantis said production resumed with the 2 p.m. shift on Monday.
