(WWJ) — Three people have been charged for shoplifting from a St. Clair County Dunham’s Sports store last weekend.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday Vince Price of Redford, Keisha Price and Yolanda Price, both of Detroit, were arraigned earlier this week on charges stemming from an incident on Feb. 2 in Fort Gratiot Township, just north of Port Huron.
Authorities did not say if or how the three suspects are related.
Around 3:30 p.m. that Sunday police were called to the Dunham’s on 24th Avenue regarding a retail fraud that had just happened. The 911 caller said the suspects fled the store in a gold 2007 Cadillac Escalade.
While authorities have not said what was stolen from the store, deputies patrolling the area spotted the SUV in the area. When it came to a stop in the middle of North Road, deputies began to get out of their cars and approach.
But the Escalade took off, proceeding to eventually get on eastbound I-69, according to the sheriff’s office.
After making their way onto westbound I-94, the driver ultimately got off at Wadhams Road and pulled into the parking lot of a Love’s gas station, officials said.
Deputies arrested all three suspects without incident.
The sheriff’s office says deputies found “a large number of items with tags on them, as well as a cutting device and magnetic device commonly used to remove merchandise tags.”
All three suspects have a known history of retail fraud, according to the sheriff’s office.
All three suspects were arraigned Tuesday on charges of first-degree retail fraud. Vince Price is facing an additional count of third-degree fleeing a police officer. His bond was set at $75,000, while bond was set at $25,000 for the other two suspects.
No information regarding their next court date has been released.
