PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Three men are facing charges after another shooting involving the making of a music video in Metro Detroit.
Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald announced Friday that 21-year-old William Hanley, 23-year-old Damian Thomas, and 23-year-old Devone Calhoun have all been charged in connection with what she calls a "gang-related" shooting in Pontiac.
According to investigators, the three men were making a music video at a gas station on July 28 when a fight broke out with a member of a rival gang.
A 23-year-old man attempted to run from the fight, but the three men followed him and there was a shootout.
No one was hit.
McDonald said multiple bullet casings were recovered from the gas station parking lot and nearby neighborhood.
"Pontiac residents have a right to safe neighborhoods," said McDonald, in a statement. "The alleged actions of these defendants were directed at the victim, but they also endangered the entire community with a gun fight. While we can be grateful no one was injured, it doesn't make this behavior any less irresponsible and dangerous."
The three men were identified and arrested following an investigation by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
"I am very proud of our team and our partners effort to not only identify the individuals involved in this violent shooting at a gas station, but then to track them down and arrest the suspected shooter," Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said. "The charges issued by the Prosecutor are strong and will hold him accountable."
Hanley is charged with Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm. Thomas and Calhoun are charged with Assault and Battery.
All three were arraigned Thursday in 50th District Court.
Hanley remains held on a $25,000 cash bond, with his next court date set for Aug. 21.
