WYANDOTTE (WWJ) - Downriver's 'Bark on the Biddle' returns for a three-day festival of fun open to all dogs and their owners beginning Friday, June 3 and running through Sunday, June 5.
Residents and their furry friends are welcome to shop, drink and play with their dogs during the annual event; WWJ's Erin Vee spoke to event organizer Julie Law to learn more about all the fun and fur activities starting this weekend.
"This festival is designed for you and your dog," Law said. "It's the one festival you actually get to bring your dog, so we have al kinds of things for them to do."
There will be a lure course chase, dock diving event, costume contests and other events along with a variety of pet related vendors, doggy fashions, homemade dog treats, unique dog toys and samples of dog food and treats.
"Of course, live music and a bar," Law said. "Who doesn't want that?"
Law said the event will take place in the parking lot on the riverfront off Oak Street, east of Biddle Ave., and spread out over a grassy section of Bishop Park.
The event features tons of fun for your pets and even a place for those thinking about getting a pet to adopt; Vee said she found her chihuahua, Tika Santana, through a rescue at "Bark on Biddle" several years ago.

A schedule of all the furry fun and contests has been set, but make sure to check the group's Facebook page to make sure times are current as they are subject to change.
