(WWJ) Farmington Hills Police are searching for three men who broke into an apartment and stole some guns.

Police said multiple 911 calls came in from concerned citizens late Monday night who heard shots fired in the area of the Diamond Forest Apartments, on Halsted Rd. between 9 Mile Rd. and Grand River Ave.

After breaking into the apartment at around 11:30 p.m. and stealing several firearms, police said the trio was spotted by the residents who fired several shots as them as they fled.

It did not appear that anyone was hurt.

The suspects were seen driving away in a silver or gray SUV; possibly as a newer Chevy Blazer or Traverse.

Police said the incident was "not random," although they did not specify why the victims may have been targeted.

Suspect number one is described as a light-skinned Black male, 20-25 years old, 5'-11" - 6' tall, approximately 120 lbs., with thin build and a fad haircut with waves on top. He was wearing black pants, and three to four diamond/gold chains. Oneof the chains had a gold peanut with the word "peanut" inside.

Suspect number two is described as a dark-skinned Black male, 20-25 years old and around 180 lbs., with a medium build and shoulder length dreadlocks. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Suspect number three is described as a dark-skinned Black male, 20-25 years old with a medium build. He was also wearing a gold chain.

Farmington Police have increased patrols in the area as detectives are actively investigating this case.
