(WWJ) A little boy in Owosso has died after he accidentally shot himself, police said.
He was just three years old.
WILX reports it happened Friday in the area of Chipman and Main Street. Owosso is about 30 miles west of Flint.
He was rushed to the hospital where he passed away.
This is the second tragedy in Michigan involving children and guns in recent days. On Wednesday, an 18-month-old in Detroit began playing with a gun. He accidentally shot and killed his five-year-old cousin, according to Detroit Police. The boy's father was home at the time and taken into custody.
In Owosso, it is unclear if any adults were home or how the little one got a hold of the gun. It is also unknown if any charges will be filed.
