1. Home for the Holidays at Ford House

Home for the Holidays at Ford House is a new winter experience where visitors can enjoy a beautifully illuminated evening walk throughout the historic estate, marveling at the glittering white lights and the first floor of the Main Residence. During the self-guided tour, attendees can hear captivating stories about the estate's rich history while taking in the home's understated elegance inspired by Eleanor Ford's tastes. Each ticket also includes a complimentary hot chocolate, with spiked hot chocolate available for the adults!

2. Holly Trolley

All are invited to take part in free festive rides on the Holly Trolley, with five stops across Downtown Detroit to shop, explore, and enjoy throughout the holiday season. With stops at Book Tower, Capitol Park, Campus Martius Park, Parker's Alley, and Columbia Street, you'll get a great tour of the downtown area and plenty of opportunities to pick up some great gifts for everyone on your holiday list! Trolleys run now through Jan. 7 in Downtown Detroit.

3. Holiday Stroll at Canterbury Village

Walk through the ultimate outdoor holiday experience at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion. The quaint shopping village transforms to a winter wonderland to provide a true holiday setting that brings the spirit of Christmas to life! Check out numerous exciting holiday displays with live characters -- including a visit with Santa to top it all off! Grab drinks and sweet treats from the C-Pub and Yates Cider Mill, and you can even get some last-minute Christmas shopping done at one of the village's the many boutiques and gift shops!

4. Glenlore Trails: Aurora

Explore a dazzling holiday light show in the forest all this month at Glenlore Trails: Aurora in Commerce -- an immersive wintry experience for all ages. This one-mile outdoor path features incredible light shows, interactive elements, games, music and more. Visit Michigan's original illuminated forest for the Aurora experience, this Thursday through Saturday and next Thursday through Saturday at Glenlore Trails.

5. Breakfast with Santa at Monroe Street Midway

If you're looking for a special Santa experience this holiday weekend, head to Downtown Detroit for an immersive meet and greet with the Big Man in Red! Breakfast with Santa at Monroe Street Midway includes a breakfast buffet, holiday activities, a keepsake photo and more! The Santa Breakfast will take place on Saturday, Dec. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Monroe Street Midway in Downtown Detroit.
