Say goodbye to a Detroit Tigers legend at Comerica Park during the Miggy Celebration Weekend! Miguel Cabrera's farewell celebration is happening Sept. 29 - Oct. 1, as the iconic player officially retires. Join the Tigers and thousands of fans at Comerica Park to celebrate Cabrera's legendary career, and send the future Hall-of-Famer off in style! There will be a ton of family-friendly activities happening all weekend long, including a pop-up of Miggy's favorite Detroit restaurant, El Rey de las Arepas, a mini-museum on the concourse, photo opportunities, giveaways and more!
Friday, Sept. 29 - Sunday, Oct. 1 at Comerica Park in Detroit
In celebration of craft beer, hard seltzers and festive hard ciders, Royal Oak Beer Fest rolls into the Royal Oak Farmers Market this weekend! The festival will provide live entertainment and an abundance of breweries and brands to sample. Dozens of breweries from around the world and down the street will be in attendance to showcase their unique libations. Produced by and benefitting K9 Charities, this event will be an experience in taste and sound — with hot music to compliment cool drinks. Guests will have no problem finding their new favorite adult beverage of choice!
Saturday, Sept. 30 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers Market
The Clawson Fall Festival in Clawson City Park has been celebrated annually for 20 years, and returns this weekend for more fall fun! This family-friendly festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 30, and will feature a slew of events and activities. Shop a market featuring local artisans, grab a bite to eat with a variety of food trucks to choose from, plus enjoy live music, hayrides, activities for the kids, farm animals, local nonprofit booths, a cider & donut tent, and the Clawson Fire Department's bonfire event!
Saturday, Sept. 30 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Clawson City Park
The American Speed Festival presented by Comerica Bank happens this weekend at the 87-acre M1 Concourse in Pontiac. This is a rare opportunity to see race cars from every era run demonstration laps on the Speed Ring 1.5-mile M1 Concourse circuit. On Sunday, a Speed & Style Expo will be held consisting of over 250 race cars, road cars, classics and exotics. This year's event will celebrate 70 years of Chevrolet Corvette and the 100th Anniversary of Le Mans and their impact on sports cars.
Thursday, Sept. 28 - Sunday, Oct. 1 at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac
Scarecrow Festival is back in Downtown Oxford this weekend to ring in the fall season! This year will kick off with a 5K and 1 mile fun run at 10 a.m. Afterwards, the day continues with a slew of afternoon activities, including a chili cookoff, donuts and cider, an Artisian Open Air Market, and a special kids zone offering face painting, balloons, crafts and more. Local artist Ava Swiss will be performing in the park, and keep an eye out for a variety of character appearances, plus bucket drumming, a magic show, downtown trick-or-treating and more!
