
WOODHAVEN (WWJ) – An adult could be facing charges after making threats that placed a Downriver school district under lockdown Tuesday.
The adult, whose name and age were not immediately released, made a threat directed towards Woodhaven High School, according to Brownstown Township police officials.
The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District was locked down for a short period of time. The lockdown has since been lifted and students were released, according to police.
Authorities said they could not give any details about the incident, which is under investigation and will be forwarded to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for applicable charges.
Officials did not say whether the adult had any connection to the school.
The exact nature of the threat was not disclosed.
