LIVONIA (WWJ) - Good news after twin infant boys have been found after going missing out of Livonia. The suspects are still being sought after someone dropped off the twins in Detroit.

The two-week-old boys, Montana Alexander Bridges and Matthew Jace Bridges, were taken to the 9th Detroit Police Precinct on Gratiot on the city's eastside Monday morning.

Police took the children to the hospital and the babies were said to be in good condition.

Authorities are still searching for two women who they believe took off with the children.

Police say the mother of the babies and the two women suspected of taking the baby were "friendly acquaintances," but it's not clear why the two women allegedly took off with the children.

It was not immediately clear who brought the twins to the police station.

Michigan State Police tweeted at 10:49 a.m. Monday announcing the Amber Alert had been canceled.

Many Michiganders received the Amber Alert on their phones just before 6 a.m. Monday.

WWJ's Charlie Langton heard from the babies' grandmother, who said the boys were taken from the Quality Inn Motel at 30375 Plymouth Road in Livonia, between Middlebelt and Merriman Roads, around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

They were staying with their mother in the hotel because their home in Detroit had been broken into.

"We're trying to put the pieces together, because as you can tell, through my conversation, it's kind of foggy," the boys' grandmother, Lolita, said. "And we're just trying to put all the pieces in tact so that we can make sure our babies come home safe and sound."

It is believed the infants, described as African-American males, were both only wearing a diaper.

The grandmother said someone was supposed to help Sunday night and then the boys went missing.

Police told WWJ they were looking for two black females driving a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with chrome trim around the rear passenger windows and Michigan license plate EHD1130.

One suspect was wearing a black hoodie and the other wearing a gray hoodie.

The incident is still under investigation. Stay with WWJ for the latest.
