WASHINGTON TWP. (WWJ) – An investigation is underway after a fatal crash left Van Dyke Avenue closed in Northern Macomb County Sunday afternoon.

Many details surrounding the crash remain unclear, but the Macomb County Sheriff's Office says Van Dyke and West Road were closed in all directions following the four-car crash.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash or how many people were killed.

The Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Team is at the scene.
