ST. CLAIR COUNTY (WWJ) – Four men are in custody after authorities seized more than $1 million worth of drugs at the Blue Water Bridge last week.

Members of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force, along with the Homeland Security's Border Enforcement Security Team, seized nearly 350 lbs. of marijuana and 24 lbs. of ecstasy from a semi-truck that had just crossed into the U.S. from Canada early Thursday morning.

Officials say the drugs have an estimated street value in excess of $1 million.

Around 2:30 a.m., authorities spotted the truck at a closed business in Columbus Township, where suspected narcotics were being taken off the truck and loaded into a van. Officials did not disclose the name of the business.

Two men – a 23-year-old Canadian truck driver and a 27-year-old from Detroit – were arrested. While authorities were investigating, a second van arrived in the area and the driver was arrested.

Officials served a search warrant at a home in connection with the investigation and another man was arrested. During the raid, officials seized a gun, ammunition and $36,000 in cash.

The sheriff’s office says Devin Breummer, James Haynie, Manraj Singh and Mason Hernandez were all arrested during the investigation. Each man was given a $50,000 bond, with no 10%.

Breummer, Singh and Hernandez were all charged with controlled substance delivery of ecstasy, controlled substance delivery of marijuana over 45 kilos and maintaining a drug house.

Haynie was charged with conspiracy to commit delivery of ecstasy, conspiracy to commit delivery of marijuana over 45 kilos, maintaining a drug house and felony firearm.
