INKSTER, Mich. (WWJ) -- A young boy who was found wandering the streets of Inkster Wednesday afternoon has been reunited with his family.
The Inkster Police Department posted a photo of the boy to its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon, saying he had been found in the area of Stollman Drive and John Daly Street, near Westwood Park.
The child, about 1 ½ years old, could not speak, so officials were asking for the public's help in locating his family.
The boy spent several hours at the police station.
An update to the post late Wednesday afternoon said the child's parents had been located. Officials have not said what led to the child's separation from his family.
